MultiUp System Stacks Large & Lightweight
Digitally Printed Sheets

Burlington, MA (March 8, 2005) - Lasermax Roll Systems announces general availability of the MultiUp™ System for high-speed continuous form digital printers. MultiUp System cuts and stacks multi-up printed sheets for book signatures, newspapers, and other over-sized applications.

With its ability to stack sheets up to 36 inches long and 21 inches wide, MultiUp System enables the efficient digital production of sheets for near-line or off-line finishing. Large stacks up to 30 inches high are transported to the finishing stage with carts or pallet jacks, keeping the printer and finisher separate for system reliability. MultiUp System consists of the newly introduced large format stacker module, along with established unwinder and cutter modules.

In addition to handling large sheets, MultiUp System also features the capability to handle lightweight sheets, in basis weights as low as 10-pound bond (38 gsm).
