FinishReady™ Controller is a communication hub permitting the integration of in-line or near‑line binding and finishing modules with these HP Indigo presses. Labor requirements and turn-around time are reduced, finishing module make‑ready waste is virtually eliminated, and productivity is significantly improved.

FinishReady Controller was developed in cooperation with HP, to ensure seamless operation with the HP Universal Finishing Interface (UFI). To enable automation of the entire process, the UFI generates a job ticket, which is then sent and further processed through FinishReady to set up the in-line or near-line finishing devices.

FinishReady conventionally operates with the Lasermax Roll Systems PageReady™ system. PageReady cuts, trims, collates and stacks multiple page sheets from the HP Indigo 7500 / 7000 Digital Presses. FinishReady conveys job information to PageReady, enabling PageReady to automatically changeover between jobs in under a minute. In an in-line finishing configuration, PageReady feeds single page or book block output on to these in-line devices. FinishReady may also be used without PageReady, to support in-line or near-line  niching configurations where PageReady is not required for appropriate page presentation.
