Lasermax Roll Systems Exhibits New Products on New Printers at On Demand 07
Burlington, MA (April 17, 2007) - The new RSF5 Folder and the new DocuSheeter™ VP6000 roll feed system, as well as a variety of systems on recently announced digital printers, headlined the Lasermax Roll Systems’ presence at the On Demand show in Boston, April 17- 19.
At the Lasermax Roll Systems booth (#1451), the highly automated RSF5 Folder is being shown. The RSF5 Folder is the key component in the new RS Fanfold HS system, an in-line bulk fanfolding solution for high-speed continuous digital printers.
Thread-up, forms size changes and stack ejection are all automatic. The folder runs pinless or pinfed paper, at speeds up to 700 feet per minute, and builds vertical stacks of fanfold forms up to 39″ high for both long printer and inserter runs with a minimum of operator attention required.
Also in the Lasermax Roll booth, an LX Stack solution is producing 3-up book blocks, suitable for near-line binding. The LX Stack system shown includes the recently introduced LX561 Cutter and LX566 Stacker modules, featuring the capability to cut and stack paper basis weights as light as 40 gsm (11# bond).
The DocuSheeter VP6000 is being shown for the first time in the Océ booth (#1229), on the new Océ VarioPrint® 6250 cut sheet duplex printer. DocuSheeter VP6000 consists of an unwinder, cutter, and transport. The unwinder feeds 50″ diameter rolls to the cutter module; single sheets are then fed on demand to the VarioPrint 6250. The large rolls run for a shift or more before depleting, increasing both operator and printer productivity.
Also in the Océ booth, on another new printer, an LX Roll-to-Roll provides unwinding and rewinding for the Océ VarioStream 9240.
The new DocuSheeter NV roll feed system for the Xerox Nuvera™ family is being exhibited in the Xerox booth (#914). DocuSheeter NV roll feed is ideal for Xerox Nuvera users running 11 x 17 applications, as it essentially becomes a tray holding nearly 30,000 ledger-sized sheets.
Lasermax Roll Systems has also partnered with Xerox on a new printer on the continuous side, the 495 Continuous Form digital printer, with the RS Stack SP system cutting and slitting two-up printed output, then merging and stacking into a single collated stream.
In the IBM booth (#1801), an LX Stack provides feeding and finishing for an IBM Infoprint® 4100 HD3/HD4 digital printing system.
In the Screen booth (#850), Screen’s new Truepress Jet520 color inkjet variable printing system is partnered with the LX Stack, the first time this system has been shown on this printer.
