Lasermax Roll Systems Introduces New DocuSheeter NV-R for Xerox Nuvera
Burlington, Massachusetts (June 1, 2009) – Lasermax Roll Systems, a Xerox Business Partner, has announced availability of its new DocuSheeter™ NV-R for the Xerox Nuvera® Production Systems. Expanding the capabilities of the standard DocuSheeter NV, this new model adds an important sheet rotation feature created exclusively for Xerox that enables documents produced from roll stock to be folded parallel to the paper grain creating a flatter, cleaner folded edge. Sheet rotation enhances any application where it is advantageous to have the paper grain running parallel to the folded and/or bound edge, such as perfect bound, case bound, and saddle stitched documents.
DocuSheeter NV-R consists of an unwinder, cutter, and rotator. The unwinder feeds 50″ diameter rolls into the cutter module that cuts single sheets, which can be rotated 90 degrees and then fed on demand to the Xerox Nuvera Production Systems. The large rolls run for a shift or more before depleting, increasing both operator and printer productivity.
DocuSheeter NV and NV-R roll feed systems are ideal for Xerox Nuvera Production Systems users running 11″ x 17″ or A3 applications, as it essentially becomes a tray holding nearly 30,000 tabloid-sized sheets. With the DocuSheeter NV and NV-R customers can also switch from tabloid to letter size applications without changing rolls.
The DocuSheeter NV-R features a straightforward design and short paper path that minimizes waste and maintains a small footprint. The user-friendly operator controls make changing sheet sizes and switching between rotated and non-rotated sheets quick and easy. All functions are available from a single control panel.
A full range of Xerox Nuvera -supported papers can be fed from the DocuSheeter NV-R. Nonstandard papers such as lighter or heavier weights, odd sizes, or coated papers, are even more cost-effective in roll form, with savings up to 30% or more. In addition to perforation and 3-hole punch options, a print registration option is also available to allow for the feeding of pre-printed sheets from rolls.
